West Sumatra (Indonesia: West Sumatra, West Sumatra abbreviated) is a province of Indonesia, located on the west coast of Sumatra, and borders the province of North Sumatra (North Sumatra) to the north, Riau and Jambi to the east, and Bengkulu to the southeast. This includes the Mentawai Islands off the coast. This is the provincial capital of Padang.
